Lyndsey Gilmer, born in 1977 in Ireland, is a martial artist, acupuncturist, fitness instructor, and mother of two sons. Her journey into martial arts began in 2002 when she started practicing Ninjutsu at Seigi Ryu Dojo in Ireland. Alongside her martial arts, she studied acupuncture from 2002 to 2006, aiming to integrate healing practices with her physical training.
In 2008, Lyndsey furthered her martial arts education in Cyprus at the Bujinkan Cyprus Dojo, and she also had the opportunity to train in Japan with Grandmaster Masaaki Hatsumi. Her dedication to learning led her to study classical martial arts with Dr. Kacem Zoughari starting in 2017 and attend seminars in Greece with Nodas Asproulis.
Before focusing on martial arts and acupuncture, Lyndsey earned a Degree in Sports and recreation management in University of Glasgow in 1997, ITEC Gym Instructor's Certificate in 1998 and specialized in injury and sports management at University College Dublin. She has also participated in white-collar boxing and practices Tai Chi, reflecting her broad interest in physical well-being.
Balancing her professional life with being a mother, Lyndsey's path showcases her commitment to both her family and her passion for martial arts and health.
